Flower Care 101

You've just had flowers delivered. Now what? To extend the life of your beautiful blooms, follow these easy steps:

• Keep your flowers in a cool place. As pretty as your flowers look on a window sill, fresh flowers do best out of direct sunlight.
• Top of the water and change water regularly. Your flowers are thirsty! Daily water changes remove bacteria that cause flowers to deteriorate quickly. If the vase looks dirty, wash it with soap and water.
• For best results, cut stems every couple of days with a sharp knife or scissors.
• Remove wilted stems to keep remaining flowers fresher for longer.
